Thanks for your research plus the Newton info.
Liebniz's calculus was said to be the proper forerunner of modern calculus. Newton's was a different approach.

Newton, Thatcher and I are all Yellow bellies!

That does not mean cowards...it means we all were born in the same rural county of England. We used to hear endlessly about Newton at school.
